The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club Tennis Center features six world class Har-tru clay courts with stunning views of beautiful Lake St. Clair.  The Tennis Center also features a fully stocked pro shop for all your tennis needs including stringing services, apparel, towels, refreshments, footwear, and more!  Adult and junior programs begin in May and run through the month of September.  In the offseason the Club has reciprocal privileges nearby at the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club.  Whether you are a beginner or an expert, the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club is your perfect tennis destination. 

 

Bowling

The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club has a state of the art 6 lane bowling center with automatic scoring.  There is a Men’s League that bowls on Mondays, Mixed Leagues that bowl on Wednesday and Thursday evenings and a Ladies League on Thursday mornings.  Each month there are two Friday Night Couples Leagues and on Saturday morning is the Junior Bowling Program for ages 4 to 12 years old. The Bowling Center and lanes are available for private parties throughout the bowling season from September through May.

GPYC provides a number of opportunities for all age groups to access safe, enjoyable, recreational swimming, as well as lessons and clubs.  We ask that participants act responsibly and co-operate with our friendly lifeguards.  To ensure the safety of  everyone we have established some guidelines that must be observed. Kids Club

Kids' Club

Kids' Klub takes place at the Club on Fridays, from 5:30 - 10 p.m. and gives parents the perfect opportunity to enjoy a quiet and relaxing dinner at the Club. Children must be at least ll , 3 years old and potty-trained. All children attending Kids' Klub have to remain in the room with the instructors. Register your child in advance: (313) 884-2500.

 

Summer Camp

Summer Camp

We would like to introduce two recent additions to the staff at GPYC—Ms. Brynn Howard and Ms. Erika Hipple. Please take a moment to acquaint yourselves with each of them. Please remember, you may register your child at any time for full days, half days, full weeks or partial weeks—our goal is to accommodate your schedule and to keep your children entertained and enjoying themselves while here.

 

Scuba Diving

Scuba Diving Lessons

Through Advanced Aquatics Diving, Inc. Scuba diving is noncompetitive by nature and allows one to share the beauty of the silent underwater with the "buddy" of their choice.
